There are a lot of ways to get involved in the Newman Center. We need volunteers in the community to help behind the scenes (help prepare food, clean up, serve at tailgate, wash altar linens, or donate food for Thanksgiving dinner (held Friday before Thanksgiving at Newman Center).
There are a number of ways to sponsor students or activities:
- $50 allows a student to attend the community-building Lumberjack Awakening retreat (offered in the fall and spring each year)
- $200 sponsors a Newman Night (in the fall of 2012 our numbers are at the highest they've ever been, averaging over 100 students each week!)
- $1,000 sends a student life-changing SEEK Conference in Orlando, January 2-6, 2013. We want to take 100 students, but we will need to raise $40,000 in scholarships in addition to $60,000 that the students are raising.
For those members that generously make a monthly gift to our Newman Center (very easy, simply check a box when you make a gift), they will receive a quarterly booklet that offers daily reflections. This allows us to be united in prayer for our young people as they grow in their relationship with the Lord.
